Yup. The staccato is way over priced too…

Top pic I can definitely see the backstrap. Good ol' Glock.

That operator is actually running a very "unique" CQB setup with the optic as far back on the rail. That's gotta be a 10.5?

Not a picture of the gun, but the DEVGRU operator that died in the MFF accident a few weeks ago. He has P320 X5 mags on his chest rig.

Had an opportunity to “Fondle” the M18 with RomeoM17 this week. The pictured M18 includes the Special Operations tactical package (not the actual name). The package includes the Carry X-Series Grip module, mag funnel, and flat trigger. The RomeoM17 RDS changes everything. Sig really out-did themselves on this one. No more suppressor height back-ups. This thing allows the stock #8s to be used in the lower 1/3rd. Military and Civilian versions coming.
Reticle can be changed, circle dot or dot. It is very hard to describe how well this thing is Melded into the design of this gun.

Took these at the USASOC Sniper match and Exibition this week. The SIG guys were awesome! Thanks to Andy for putting up with all my questions.

It's interesting that this one is shown with the safety and the one seen on the m17 with the ODA member has the safety deleted. I'm curious if there are two different versions and the individual unit can choose which one they want to order. Also both seem to be missing the straight trigger.

The thumb rest does rub on the inside of my 6390 which if I draw a slight angle can cause a bit of a hangup on the draw. I might have to file a bit of the plastic down.

We had access to g17s so no one on my team used the g19s but now with loss of the g17s it's about a half and half mix of people using the m17s and g19s. I'm not fond of the stock m17 but it is really quite nice after dropping a bit of money into it. Honestly I would still be using the g17 if it was still available to me just based on the fact I didn't feel the need to put any personal money into it like I have with the m17, if that makes sense.

Have you tried the Wilson grip module?  How do you like the M1811 grip module?  How is the texture on the sides?  I've been thinking about picking up a M1811 and am interested in your thoughts on it.

I have a WC module as well but now it just sits in my locker. IMO the M1811 is way more comfortable and points more naturally. I don't have them in front of me but from what I remember the M1811 has less texture compared to the WC but not so much that I feel like I can't get a good purchase on it. I've thought about wrapping it with hockey tape.

For you guys who actually own the P320 POW M17/M18 that is sold only to LE and Mil. at Proven Arms, other than being able to buy it and it being limited in quantities, is there any other reasons why this version costs more than the standard P320 M17/M18?

I have them in my shopping cart at Proven Arms and just trying to see if there are any other major differences I am not aware of other than the limited availability/cost.

I have a Civie 17 and 18 and I wouldn’t give either up, but the military version/ over-run has a few features I really like. Fit feel and function is considerably better than the civie. The .mil comes with a pre-tensioned barrel, read that as match fit barrel. All parts are made in the U.S. as per the .mil contract and because it is purpose built it is designed to run the new Romeo M17 site which destroys all Red Dots currently on the market.
I now have 2 POW M18s and a M17. Well worth it. Don’t miss out on these.

Different slide, different optics mounting plate.  I'm told different barrel.

Probably not at all worth the price difference, but the civilian M17/18 has a fair number of differences.

I posted a comparison of the military and commercial M17s here, if that’s helpful at all. I can tell you that the slide and barrel lockup on the military model definitely feels tighter than the commercial version, and it doesn’t have the “soft” feel of the lighter recoil spring. I’m really glad that I got one, and I’m going to order an M18 as soon as the budget allows. Obviously you’ll have to decide if the difference warrant the extra cost, but I’m personally glad that I had the opportunity to get the military model.

The TF and TC versions are my fav right now because of the new Romeo-M17 that I’m running. But with the civie version coming, these things are gonna get crazy popular. I’m telling you all…. The Romeo-M17 changes he game.
