So I replaced the factory recoil spring in my 9mm P226r after 1k rounds and replaced it and the guide rod with a GreyGuns SS Fat guide rod and a Pink + P spring. I only shot standard loads through it but it shot/shoots great. Cleaning it today I reassembled and when working the slide afterwards it seemed like it's lost some snap. It has (the spring) 6,279 rounds on it. Now I am OCD'ing wether or not I should replace the spring?
I know Sig recommends changing a standard spring every 5k rounds, some recommend every 3k rounds. Would a Pink +P go longer between replacements? Or should I just replace it with another Pink +P spring? ETA: When comparing it to my P229r it is actually a lot stiffer and has much less play... Maybe I'll leave it for a bit? Thoughts?
