Well you ask for it so here goes. Took the 220 out today ( alomg with several others ). Loaded up the range bag with Speer 200 JHP, 185 JHP Winchester Silver Tip, 185 JHP CCI Blazer, 230 TC Winchester WinClean, along with some really crappy reloads. As was expected, The Sig functioned flawlessly. No failures of any type. The three factory 8 round mags worked perfect, contrary to some reports of failures to feed on the second round these were smooth as silk. The 220 is as tight as any custom auto Ive run across. Even without the mag inserted and with the hammer cocked, I shook the holy crap out of it and not a single rattle of any sort. The double and single action trigger are extremely smooth with no gritty feel or roughness. The double action is a bit heavy but I expect it to lighten up as time goes on and a few thousand rounds are put through it. The single action has a slight bit of take up but breaks clean and smooth. The P220 doesnt come close to my 226 in buttery smoothness of the trigger but the 226 is 15+ yrs old and has many thousands of rounds through it I didnt go out to test for target accuracy just function and reliability. Still at 15 yards off hand, it grouped in the three inch range although a couple of inches high of POI. I expect this to settle down as it gets broke in more and I get use to the weapon. Ill probably need to change the sights out at a later time but for now Ill leave it alone and wait til I invest in a set of night sights. Ill probably be looking to send it to Teddy J for a trigger job and have the sights done at the same time On a lighter note , My buddy wasnt too happy when I uncased the 223 and blasted holes clean through his 1/2 inch spinner plates  Now ..... who wants to clean a few firearms tonight ????????? |

Welcome to the P220 happy camper club After 15 years and only one problem. (Its in the shop now Broken Extractor after thousands of rounds and many years of everyday carry)I am not going to use any aftermarket Mags anymore. I dont know if it caused my problem but it they both happen at the same time . ( used a 10 round USA mag twice and extractor broke 5 rounds into the secound clip ?) I feel naked. The 1911 helps but I still dont feel dressed. I am thinking about getting another as a spare it hurts so bad. |

Great report CnL.....I was at the range with mine today and still can't get over how well it shoots. The double action is stiff buts breaks clean without notice. The single action has no slack and breaks at 5.5 lbs. There is no slop in the gun what so ever. As a mater of fact it shows no wear on the frame rails and its a Police Trade in that was made in West Germany in 1990. I Can't wait to find a good deal on a 226  To Damn bad Florida isn't closer to Texas
