I have decided I want to try out the DAK, but I cannot afford another 226 right now. I want to convert my DA/SA pistol. I looked on sigs store in the parts section but didn't see the parts, anyone know where I can find em?

I have a 229 in 9mm with the DAK trigger.

I have grown very fond of it. I like it a lot.
I have no issues with a plate rack at 25 yards with it.

Some guns can't be converted due to the frame. Even some of the guns that Sig's own serial number list shows can be converted can't. I bought a new P226 .40 SA/DS with E2 grips a couple of months ago.  The box shows the gun was made May 2013. I wanted it converted to DAK and I called Sig customer service. I gave him the serial number (UU779xxx) and he said the gun was in the range of guns that could be converted. I mailed the pistol and a week later I get a call from CS saying when the gunsmith opened it up he found that the frame did not have the cutout necessary to convert it to DAK.  He told me some guns are in the proper serial number range to be converted, but they can't be.  He didn't know why.

You might want to make sure your gun is capable of being converted before you order parts.
