Was thinking bout getting one of these.  At about $430 they are not cheap for a .22 pistol but I hear the quality and accuracy are excellent.  Anybody have experience with these?

I shot a borrowed one at a range a while back.  Good ergonomics, natural point & more accurate than I am capable of shooting.  They are expensive but high quality workmanship & finish.  I already have several 22`s but I was impressed enough I`ve been thinking about picking one up.

I have a 6" model with a ultradot mounted on it. The quality and accuracy of the gun is very good. The only gripe I have is that the mags are too expensive ($40 each?!?!)  they only include one with the gun, and they are made from some type of polymer stuff. I would really like to see sig or some after market company mfg some steel mags for this thing. My buckmark mags are only $20 ea. and way better quality.

I've had my 6" target for almost a year with a leupold gilmore on top.  You won't be disappointed with the accuracy and the quality is fairly good, not like their other pistols though.  The mags are expensive and for the money I wish the were metal.  My biggest gripe is when cleaning the gun.  If I want to remove the slide, I have to take the scope and mount off.  This means I have to zero in the scope again after assembly.  Not that big a deal but an inconvenience nonetheless.  I now only remove the slide to clean it once in a while.  I think it should be ok but only time will tell.  I'm not certain but other models may have the same issue.   Good luck.

I just found one new for $339.  I don't know if it had been there a while or what, but I'm pretty sure I came out of there with a screaming deal considering I'd just gone in there to buy a Browning Buckmark.  The salesman steered me towards the SIG, and while I've got five of the P-series pistols, I knew a Trailside was more than I wanted to spend on a .22LR.  I took a look anyway and lo and behold saw a $339 sticker on it.  SOLD!

Magazine will be a BIG problem for trailside. Way to go for Hammerli to come up with a nice pistol and then gives it a plastic magazine. The range that I work at used to have one for rental, due to the high volume usage, magazine tends to weaken up and cause the ammo to point up too high and cause jam. The other problem is the adjustable sight at the back (if you have one), damn thing break all the time (couple members complain about that on their own gun as well). Really waiting to see the new SIG Mosquito and hope it's better on reliability compare to Walther P22.

I had one at one time.  It was the target version with the wood grips.

The reason I said that I had one is because I had some problems with it.

1st I could not get the fire arm to reliably function with any target ammo, seamed odd considering it was a target pistole for competition shooting.  All bulk ammo worked fine, but i was able to hold a tighter group with my friends ruger 22/45 with target loads.

2nd the grips always came loose on me while shooting even if I used lock tight, I gees it is because it only had one screw threw it.

Don't get me wrong I liked it and it was very fun,  but it did not stand up to my expectations, so I sold it for $50.00 more than I paid for it.

I got upset when I could shoot better with a 199.99 ruger than I cloud with a 450.00 Sig.

Just my .02
I am considering a Browning Buckmark.  Does any one shoot one?

I had a browning buck mark with 5.5 inch barrel.  I liked it ok.  The trigger broke cleanly and it never malfunctioned.  The annoying think about it is that you have to take off the top sight base in order to clean it.  The sight base also had a tendency to get loose after a hundred rounds or so.  For this reason I sold it and am in the market for a new .22,  the Sig mosquito seems cool.
