SIG P250sc 9mm on a compact frame bobbed by my local 'smith. Now it's the perfect size for me w/15+1 capacity:

I know I have posted my .02 cents many times on this board but I really like the P250. I am not a one brand shooter so I have various competitive products (FN, Glock, Ruger, etc) that I own and the P250 really has a lot going for it. Mine is very accurate and reliable. I can carry CCW and then have a full size duty in a larger caliber in under 5 minutes. I was raised on revolvers and qualified at the LEO Academy using a SW .38 so I guess the trigger pull feels natural to me. I have been shooting since the 1960's and handload so I have done a fair amount of shooting. Mine must be nearing 1000 rounds by now with no FTF/FTE issues using a mix of WWB, Federal, some higher price JHP stuff for reliability testing.

I'm w/you, I'll buy whatever best suits my needs, regardless of brand.
I originally bought a P250c to replace my S&W M&P9c but the P250c is a bit bigger and was uncomfortable for me to carry the way I did my M&P9c. Then I discovered the P250sc and while the slide is the perfect length, the grip was just a bit short but since the P250 is as modular as you're going to get w/a pistol, I got the idea of the sc slide on a c grip module w/the result shown in my posted pic.
I'm very happy w/the P250's DAO-style trigger, it's very KISS w/no manual safeties to worry about under stress and a long trigger pull that makes every shot deliberate (fewer ND's?).
Wife liked mine so much we picked up a P250sc in .380 for her.

So you're the guy who bought it.

Seriously, though, P250s can be had for a song these days.

I think the 250s shoot great but the trigger is soooooo long and creepy compared to a P-series Sig.

Long and light? Yes. Creepy? Not on the 3 we have. Main reason I chose the P250 over something like a P2022 is that I don't care for the DA/SA transition (YMMV).
At least SIG gives us options to choose from!

Tomac, you need to troll GB, I have seen some 2SUM combos go for a song then you can get a full size to go with that .380.

Here is an example, left cold, auction closed,

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=346568559

$482 for a 2SUM, Full Size and Compact pair, if you sold the compact frame for say $200, you would be sitting on a full size for under $300.

That's a smokin' deal, too bad it was in .40.
Unfortunately, the grip modules only sell for appx $50 so even if you included the mag you're not getting more than about $80 by selling the unwanted frame (grip module) and mag as everything else is needed for the other size.

Actually, right now we have the wife's P250sc .380, my P250c 9mm and my P250sc on a c grip module (pictured above). Yeah I could have saved money by getting just one pistol then 2 X-change kits but I wanted complete pistols (but might do some kits later on ).

The 2SUM comes with two complete firearms except there is only one FCU to swap back and forth. My comment about selling was one complete firearm (minus the FCU) so $200 should be easy and since it has no FCU it should be a simple transaction. I have seen them in 9mm go at that price and lower.

Not important, I am just glad to find others who appreciate the P250.

I have a p250 with a full size 40s&w kit and compact 9mm kit. I love it. It is the most accurate pistol I own in both calibers with my 92fs in A close 2nd for accuracy. The trigger did take some getting use to but with 1k or so rounds with it I have become really comfortable shooting it and knowing where the predictable and crisp break is. There is a bit of over travel but nothing too bad. For the price you really can't beat it.

While the P250's modularity and DAO-style trigger isn't for everyone, it fits my needs better than any other current offering (wife has her P250sc in .380 as well).

I've got two of the 9mm 2SUM kits up in the closet for when my teenagers get a little older (I paid $800 for both of them).   I figure it will make a nice "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE" present, and they will be armed at their own respective homes.

Nice little guns for the price, and for someone that learned to shoot with a .22 DA revolver, they are easy as hell to shoot accurately and the trigger is far and away better than what you get on an out of the box Glock, just different. I just wish you could find cheap mags for them.
