| Can you tell me the good and bad of the P250 compact |
|
I have a couple of P250s.
Many complain that the DAO (double action only) is terrible. I personally think it is one of the better DAO actions. I also like that the FCG (fire control group) is the receiver, and you can move it to different slides and grip frames and switch calibers or "frame" sizes. The P250 seems to be a love or hate pistol... and it has a "cult" following. Check out: http://www.p250sig.com/forum/default.aspx?g=topics&f=31 |

I love mine too. The DAO trigger is a long pull, but it's smooth as glass. Holsters are a bit hard to find. I have a Blackhawk Serpa for my compact, and a crossbreed for subcompact. Which blackhawk? I tried a 05 and no dice. Also tried the one on my sp2022 and no go -sorry op, don't wanna thread jack |

Just recently bought a P250 compact in .40. I love it so far. Great size for me, being someone who's fired my revolvers almost always double action I find the trigger amazingly good for DAO. Very smooth with a crisp break. The reset is a bit long, but not bad.
I'm haviing trouble also finding a couple of holsters. And spare mags are either scarce or stupidly expensive. |

I bought it thinking it was going to be the holy grail of pistols. I am newer to shooting and wanted a way to inexpensively try many calibers without having as my wife calls it "to many guns".
The trigger pull is difficult for me compared to DOA striker fired pistols like my Glock. Due to the squeeze required I often shoot low to the left. I understand this means that I am squeezing my entire hand instead of just my trigger finger and need to work on that. Does anyone know if anything can be done to lighten up the trigger pull to make this less pronounced? As for holsters I have a thumb break Desantis OWB leather holster for it that I love. Old Faithful holsters also makes an inside the waistband holster for it that is only $35 if you assemble it yourself. I have that and it works wonders. |

Sig P250 mags of all calibers are the most common SIG magazines in my area. The P250 is also the easiest to find SIG pistols too. Interesting to see how diffrent items are more or less popular in diffrent parts of the country. Is $40 a good price for magazines? I'd say yes, that seems about right. I've seen them for as much as $55, and before December they were around $40... |
