I'm looking at a pre owned certified factory reconditioned P226. Made in W. Germany with matching #.
How are they?
Anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks

Do it,  I just picked up a CPO W. German manufacture, matching numbers on slide, frame and barrel.

I couldn't  be happier with it.

I picked one up about 6 years ago that was manufactured in 1997 and it's been great. Only trouble I've had is when I neglect it and don't clean it for 700 rounds or so and that's only happened once. Took it home, clean it and it ran great again. I also just sent it to Sig for the Service Plan. They changed out the springs and gave it a nice bath. The only reason I did it was to have them change out the sights to night sights which is part of the plan. While it was gone, there was a definite void in my safe. That week and a half was enough time for me to realize that I'd never sell it.

I got a  Red Box 1991 P228 that was rebuilt in 2012.  Wonderful pistol.  Metal finish is more rust resistant than when factory new.  Great buy.
