I recently bought a MK25 (never owned a Sig before and I love it) and when I disassembled the magazines I noticed the followers seem longer than they need to be to function correctly. Are there shorter followers that I can put in my 15 rounders to increase capacity?

I think those are the SIG proprietary followers. Mec Gar Makes them (although now checkmate makes mags for SIG, too. They have a bad internet reputation, bit I have no personal experience with them).

Mecgar also makes magazines that they sell under their own name, as opposed to being SIG OEM mags. The Mecgar mags are 18 rounds because they use a different follower. They are just as reliable. I don't know if you can buy the followers sepaately though.

Topgunsupply.com is where I usually buy mags for my sigs.

I had seen these and an older 17 round version that looked like the 15 round ones. I'm wondering if I could put the follower from a 17/18 round mag in mine, would it bump the capacity to 17? I saw top gun supply sells what looks like the smaller follower but they're out of stock
