Sig Forum?

Thought I was a member but when I tried to log on it said my email address didn't match any members. Then when I tried to register it said my email address was banned.
Huh??????

What extension is at the end of your email?

Some forums don't allow the free/easy email addresses like hotmail.  Once upon a time some forums wouldn't allow any free email address to join, although that may not be the case so much now that most people use gmail or something similar.  IOW, they look at the extension-  something like '[email protected] or [email protected] are good, while [email protected] or [email protected] would be bad.

Try a different e-mail.  That site is notorious for rejecting certain email extensions.  You will be able to register but your registration will be pending approval forever.  Once you're on, you can change your email back to whatever you want it to be.

Hmm, I thought it was me.  I had the same problem with a gmail address.  I emailed the admin and he never bothered to respond.  I figured they didn't want any more members for some reason.

I don't think he got your e-mail.  I think certain extensions are blocked.  When I finally registered using a different e-mail, it was instantaneous - like any other registration.  I got my confirmation e-mail and went from there.  This has been a known issue for years.  Just be peristant.  It's a good website, worth the effort.

I just searched one of the forums for information and there is a post on the subject.  Free e-mails, like gmail and yahoo, are not valid for registration.  Use an email address through your ISP.

AOL is still out there?

Based on the things I've heard about Sigforum, I don't think I'll ever register there. But if I need some info I just put site:sigforum.com + what I'm looking for into Google, and it will only show results from that site. Example: "site:sigforum.com P226"

Some of us don't have any other email address.
