I recently bought my first Sig which is a Sig P229 with night sights. I have been wanting to buy a Sig forever but was always cautious with the money but finally took the plunge and love it. I need to know if the MecGar P228/P229 15rd mags will fit flush with a Sig P229 or if they will extend past bottom of magwell. The mags that came with the gun are only 13rd mags is why I ask.

Assuming your 229 is chambered in 9mm, the 15 round Mec-Gar mags will fit flush. They have the same outside dimensions as the factory 13 rounders. Mec-Gar uses a smaller follower in the 15 rounders to allow the mag to hold the 2 extra rounds.
