I have been to two gun shows since they were first announced  and go into at least two local gun stores almost weekly. I have not seen any and no info when they will hit the stores. But if it means anything I did finially see a SIG 516 at the last gun show in Nov and how long ago were these announced? Shot show and first one I saw was almost the end of Nov?

It will certainly be after SHOT, just how soon, or long, after, who knows.

Just wondering where you got that price? I looked on Sigs webpage and its not listed. I was hearing the price would be closer to $500 but that was just internet talk since Sig had not released the price yet. Just wondering if Sig released the price and where you found it.

And just to add....I would NOT even think about it at that price.

That list is the supposed msrp for 2011

Most of those MSRP's look like they are about 200 or so over street price, some interesting additions there, looks like a .22 caliber M1911 is new along with a bunch of new 522 variants.

The 716 is mysteriously missing from that list unfortunately.

Me too.  I wanted to get one for my wife for her CCW.

I was told a bunch of those msrp figures are not correct and are lower then printed. I don't think we will see an official list till after shot.

the new Guns & Ammo has a piece on the 290.
it won't double strike a round, so I'll pass.

Topgunsupply.com has P290 listed for sale at $663.00. But not in stock.

For that price ,knowing sigs recent history, and it will be late 2011 before released i'll pass and keep my TP9.

Wait they are showing a P210 in that list.  WTF they haven't made those in years.

They are bringing the P210 back its a German made gun to boot.

The Sig website finally has more info on the 290.  They have item numbers listed and have the other variations listed as well.  MSRP is listed, too rich for my blood right now!  Hopefully we will see some of these out and available soon so we can get a more accurate review of the weapon.

Some new info but still no info on when it will be shipped. I went into my two fav gun shops today. One shop said they had sevral ordered but no idea when they would get them. They said it could be tomorrow or next month. The other shop also said they had several ordered but it could be 2012 before they see them based upon how Sig did the release of the last two new guns.

Seems nobody has any idea when these will hit the market

MSRP for the two tone is $786

Ruger LC9 MSRP is $443 and I've seen consistent prices between $350 and $390.

I wonder which one I'll get.

Id skip both the LC9 has way to many safeties for my liking and the build quality felt kind of crappy to me.

Regardless of what you think of the price I have yet to see a Ruger that I thought stood up to a sig in quality.

I was hoping they would be around 500 but wasnt holding my breath

I really want this new Sig P290 to be awesome, but I am skeptical.

looking forward to seeing one and hoping that the price comes down after they're out for a while.

SBG has them for $675 - at this price I wonder how popular they will be

Sig Sauer 290 9mm, the smallest of their 9mm line. This is the frist edition limited run with aluminum and black insert. These are 6rd mags with extended 8rd mags coming out later.

still cheaper than most of the P series Kahr guns.

I still want to handle one to make up my mind

Are these out? Still have not seen them local yet.

EDIT––-Just found several on Gunbroker.com for around $620 so I guess they are out. Still have NOT seen any local yet.

Saw a First Edition stainless at a show this past weekend...$730 was the tag price.  LOL, for that price I didn't even ask to hold it.  I will wait for a used one or prices to drop.

Hopefully after things settle down, we will be able to buy them for less than $475.

If they are any more than that, I won't be enterested, and I am a Sig guy.

I don't see any reason they would not get that low when they are used (a la Walther PPS).

Anybody seen one in person yet?

The last I heard was May or June for standard versions.

Any updates?

They are out.

Wasnt impressed at all. feels extremely blocky and the grip was tiny. Trigger felt so so.

It will be interesting to see how it does

Being a sig addict I was excited to find several at the local gun show today.  What a piece of CRAP!  It was kind of blocky, and had one of the worst triggers I have felt in a long time.  The trigger was extremely gritty and inconsistent thru the entire pull.  I had to try several to make sure it wasn't just a bad one in the batch.   Nope, They all sucked.
How can sig make a nice smooth trigger like they have in the 250, and then put out a gun with a terrible trigger and charge $ 300.00 more?
They really screwed the pooch on this gun.
If you want a good gun for CCW, get a Kahr.  While I like the trigger on my 250, Nothing compares to my Kahr PM9.

That being said, The 226 E2's felt great!  so sig at least gets some credit.
