Does anyone know if Glock offers Factory Letters, and if they do at what cost?

What exactly is a "Factory Letter"?

It's a letter saying that his Glock was made on xx/xx/xxxx and shipped to: Colt offers these, why you would want one for a Glock though I don't know?

So does Smith & Wesson for about $50.

I'm sure they do, but for what purpose?  The "factory letter" is usually something used to authenticate older guns, when and where made, who they were made for, etc. etc., for determining collector value.

Glocks aren't that old...maybe if you got ahold of one that was specifically made for or ordered by a famous person of some sort, but...

I'd say give Glock a call and ask.  Only way ta be sure.

Can't understand why you'd want one for a GLOCK.  Maybe I'll be enlightened.

Thought it might be neat to go with my DPD G22, also I'm just kind of curious what the original acquisition date was, and how many pieces were in the order.

more power to you, man, but really what possible use is this information?  will your gun be any more useful if you know it was part of 14 glocks that were sent to Joe's Guns on main street on August 2, 2007?

If you're looking for when it was made, plug your serial into Google.

and lets not try to turn Glocks into "collector's" items.

It would be cool to have one for an issued pistol.

Too late, check prices for LNIB Gen 1 17's. I sold the last one I had for $550 a few years ago.

How many "pebble grain" 19's have you ever seen? That would be a gun to get a factory letter on if ever there was one......Just sayin'.
