was looking around wanting to get a +2 extension such as this, and it said it requires an insert. just wanted it to play with for a couple mags i already have.

just looking at it, it does not make a lot of sense? It gives no instructions or explinations. my glock armorers manual says they have them but give no intructions on how to use.... anyone got pix of installation? and if using a pearce extension do i need th insert? read a couple reviews that they were better, not to mention they are a lot cheaper....

and oh just found this today.... a Glock, 22rnd, 40cal mag will probably be getting a couple as they are cheaper than half the 5rnd extension out there. didnt know they made hi-cap 40 cal mags

I use the Pearce PG-2733. They came with the insert. I would imagine their other products also do.

The inserts hold the base plate (extension) on more securely.  I've used the extensions without the inserts and they come off easily.

I prefer factory glock parts when it comes to the plus 2 extensions.

Pearce makes a great product, but the newest gen factory +2's are rock solid.  I've beat the living daylights out of some mags with them on there and they haven't budged.
