I'm looking to buy a full size pistol in the next year or two, and I'm at a cross roads...
I'm debating whether I should stick with 9mm and get a model 34, or move up to a larger caliber (most likely a model 21). The reason I'd like to stick with 9mm is: I already have a 19 and plenty of 17 mags, plus I'm already reloading 9mm. The reasoning behind moving up in caliber pretty much speaks for it's self. Does anyone have any links to terminal ballistics of the 9mm out of the 5.3" barrel of the model 34? Is +P performance out the longer barrel approaching the performance of any of the .45ACP loads? any ideas would be helpful. |

What do you consider "approaching .45 ACP performance". |
