My G23 shoots low (5-6") and left (2-3") at 25m shooting everything from 135 gr Winchester to 180 gr Speer, too much for my taste. It also does this with a G32 barrel shooting 125 gr Federal. Before anybody says too much finger or anticipating recoil stop now as that is not an issue. Being that it does this with both the .40 and .357 barrel I was wondering about an off axis barrel cut in the slide? If so can one get a new slide somewhere?
I have been shooting and carrying Glocks for 22 years and never qualify less that 248/250 at semi annuals, I like the ability of a precise shot at 25m without resorting to Kentucky windage. |

I had the same problem with the my G23 & G22. I changed the guide rod to a stainless steel one. That helped. When I changes to an after market barrel that made it shoot right on target. Mike |

What do you have for sights on the pistol? What type of target and sight picture are you using? Anyone else shoot it? Have you done any side by side comparisons with any other Glocks shooting under the same conditions?
I would suspect something else first rather than the slide being machined incorrectly / out of tolerance. How old is the pistol? Anyone ever do a detailed strip and inspect the locking block? I think any money you put into the pistol at this point would be best spent shipping it to Glock once you eliminate some other basics. If your slide is defective they will replace it, and go through and inspect, upgrade , or replace anything else. If you do send your pistol back to Glock, be sure to throw in your mags as they will rebuild them as well if need be. |

What do you have for sights on the pistol? Trijicon Night Sights - all my pistols have them What type of target and sight picture are you using? Correct sight alignment sights at center point at 25m Anyone else shoot it? Partner Have you done any side by side comparisons with any other Glocks shooting under the same conditions? My G38 was dead on I would suspect something else first rather than the slide being machined incorrectly / out of tolerance. How old is the pistol? 1 year, new to me Anyone ever do a detailed strip and inspect the locking block? I do all the time, Glock trained armorer I think any money you put into the pistol at this point would be best spent shipping it to Glock once you eliminate some other basics. May do this as I have a plethora of pre ban mags that could use a rebuild The kicker for me was when the G32 barrel also printed at the same point, nice groups but off center |

Took the G23 out after repalcing the locking block with a new one, the old part number was 7 the new is a 4 (it seems it had a G19 block in it.). Shot it at 25m with my HD load, 135 gr Winchester Ranger, and it shot more to center being only maybe +/-1" left but still 3-4" low. The elevation may be the round itself as heavier rounds tend to print higher and the sights are set up for standard ammunition I assume. The 180 gr ball I shoot does tend to print a bit higher.
Then I unlimbered it's little brother, a G27 I received from another member. First shot literally dead center, next two within an inch also center. Little bastard shoots. I guess I can live with basically centered and slightly low as combat distances will be nominally shorter than my 25m test distance. If I can find a slide I'm buying it, though, as I am OCD as hell when it comes to this. |
