If I attach a magwell to my 19, could I use G17 magazines instead of attaching base plate extenders to my 19 magazines.  I'm looking at the Black Ice magwells from dawson precision...

Thanks for your help.

you can use 17 mags regardless. they will fit in any 9mm glock and just stick out a bit on the 19 and 26. the 33rd 18 mags also fit but you can't use them due to the stupid 30 +1 mag size limit we are stuck with here in ohio.

Maybe i worded it wrong... I knew 17 mags can fit in a 19 frame. When you put an extended magwell on a pistol you need longer length mags. My question is will the 17 mags stick out far enough to use with a magwell extension?

They are plenty long enough and will still stick out the underside of the magwell.

You can still use the 19 mags too.  I do.

With a magwell in place? I thought you needed magazine extensions to be able to fully seat the mag.

No they will still fit in there, you just won't be able to "slap" them in.

I have a magwell on my custom G24 and the stock mag now fits almost flush with the bottom rather than sticking out as it does stock.  I can still slap my mags in for fast mag changes.  You can see the baseplate below.
