| Just got back from the Glock Armorer's Course today. Great fun getting to do things to Glock's guns I wouldn't do to my own :-) I passed the test , so should have my certification in a couple of weeks. |

Congrats. Where did you take the course at? The head 'smith at the gunshop I work at took the course yesterday and today in Columbia SC. I wanted to go, but the head 'smith gets first pick. I'll go next year. It was hd at the IRS (!!!) in Charlotte, NC. There were a couple of SC LEOs there. Funny seeing 20 police cars from different agencies leaving the IRS parking lot! |

It was the only one I've ever seen that even came close so I jumped on it since all the others are 4+ hours away If you are in VA then i think you are getting Ronnie, my instructor, i think he said he was going there on Thursday. He was great, very entertaining. I think i was the only non-LEO in thr Charlotte class. For the test, pay attention to the troubleshooting issues, what can cause what kind of failure, i think the other questions on the test are fairly straight forward. |

I just did mine yesterday. Great fun! I now understand the function of the internal components better than I'd ever thought possible.
I did find amusing the sentence on the enrollment form stating that I will not install third-party parts or modify parts on any Glock pistol. |

I was a glocktalker and had torn it apart 100 times before, and the class just told me all the stuff I had been doing wrong. It really didn't help that it was my second time going through it. I remember the first time I took it there was one guy that failed the test. |

I remember the first time I took it there was one guy that failed the test. The guy I went with missed one of the questions, I've been calling him '96' ever since. (96%) The test was so easy it was boring. You'd have to be working hard at not paying attention to fail. |

My 34 needs a lil tap now and then to get it started even working the slide lock. But then it's old and I guess I need a lil tap now and then myself. |

All you're doing with the hammer is damaging the slide lock and / or the trigger pin every time you whack it. |
