I got a factory Glock magazine extension and the insert in today. I just have a question regarding how it stays attached.

The standard Glock magazine floor plates have a little hole for the peg on the insert to keep it retained.

The Glock extension doesn't seem like it attaches except by the tabs. Is there any other way it attaches so it won't pop off?

There are notches on the floorplates, including the factory +2 you are referring to, that fit over corresponding tabs on the bottom of the mag - look at part # 32 in this diagram:

Yes OP, I understand what you're asking.  The insert on the standard baseplate "locks" into the hole.

The instert on the +2 also "locks" in, in a way, by filling the area inside.  You have to push it into the mag body to disassemble, just like the others, because of this.

Trust me, it all locks solidly in place.  Hell, it almost feels like the factory +2s are a MORE solid baseplate setup than the standard.

Don't worry..................I use these too, they're not goin' anywhere.
