Last month I purchsed my first Glock after having thought I would not being a Glock gun fan. I ran across a used Glock 22 with night sites with 3 mags for $300. I decided it would make a better CCW carry gun and get my HK tatical out of the car and back in the safe. Well I started reading up on what I had purchased and the gun kind of grew on me. So I purchased a holster (Fobus)and decided I would personal carry. It worked good here in Mich as I wore sweat shirts and carhart vest, but its warming up, so a change is coming. So yesterday I went back to a local police supply house that focus on the LEO business and there was a used Glock 26 for $350 with 2 mags, 1-10 mag no extension and the other a 10 round with finger ext. The pistol is like new and from the serial # is a couple of years old. I am not keen on the caliber but I found +P hollow points and think that should work just fine. They recommended "Desantis" Invisible Agent with clip (IWB). It tucks in real nice and seems to be very comfortable for $22. So I am thinking I may have found a good personal carry. Plus I ended up with 2 nice handguns to add to my collection for the cost basicly of one new one considering the extra mags and night sights. Next is to get night sites on the 26. The Desantis will also carry my glock 22 and is small. I have noticed that if I remove my handgun from my holster to reholster and wear comfortably I need to take the holster off and re-insert gun and holster into CCW position.
What next, I will watch to see what trade in's show up. He said the sub compacts get grabbed up almost as soon as they come in. They seem to be good people to deal with also. So maybe I uncovered a good honest gun shop. Chinook3 |
