I love GLOCK!

Not that I have an immediate need or want to do this, but I am curious about something.

Can you take slides and match them up with different size lowers (assuming same caliber).

I have put the slide from a 23 on a 22 handle, and visa versa, but I have never shot it in that configuration.

Not that it has any practical purpose, but if you you had to mix parts from 2 guns, would it work?

Yes it will work fine.

The locking block and barrel lug from a fullsize gun is different from a midsize or subcompact.  The slides and frames can be swapped around if you shorten the dust cover or get a slide spacer from Lone Wolf.

An exapmle is that a G22 slide will work on a G23 frame.  You will need a dust cover spacer to cover the exposed recoil spring and a custom G22 barrel with a G23 style lug.  Lone Wolf sells them as G23L barrels.

A G23 frame will accept a G27 slide if the dustcover is opened up and shortened.  The recoil spring hole in the slide has a larger external diameter on the G27.
