I am considering picking up a 21SF but have a number of questions:
1. Will the older Glck 21 magazines work in a SF? The other way around? 2. Would a SF serve as a good suppressor host? (I know I would need an aftermarket threaded barrel) 3. Would it be possible to convert a 21 to a 10MM (Model 20) with just changing out the barrel? 4. Anything to worry about with going with a 21SF? 5. Best price on one of these and where to get it from? No worries with the G21 SF, they have been problem free.
I would however purchase one with the single sided (standard) mag release / Glock rail as you would then be assured any older G21 mags would work. Thhis would not be the case if you went with the ambi mag release / picatinny rail version. |

(I know I would need an aftermarket threaded barrel) Yes it is great, and have seen this done many times. The only difference between an SF and old style is the smaller grip, not mechanical. 3. Would it be possible to convert a 21 to a 10MM (Model 20) with just changing out the barrel? No, Lone Wolf doesn't make a conversion barrel to go from .45 to 10mm, and from what I have heard, the internal dimmensions of the slide are different. You would have to build a 10mm upper to go on the lower, but you also you would need to swap out the ejector/trigger housing, and you have to buy 10mm mags. Plus for the cost of building a new upper, you could spend a little bit more and get a complete new G20 SF. 4. Anything to worry about with going with a 21SF? Nope, just make sure to get the standard mag release, and you will be good to go. 5. Best price on one of these and where to get it from?
