Greenbeam Green Laser model 8300.  When released the next light /laser will be the compact Viridian green laser w/ powerful led light I'm going for.  I gave up on the red laser as you cant see it during the day.  Yet if thats what you want the streamlights are the best value and perform as well as the overpriced surefire.

Tests says this is under rated & their output is more like 160+

REALLY! I had heard that surefire will be coming out with a new head/light assembbly this summer putting the light at over 170lumens.... ANyone?

From what I read they are just changing the rating to what it really is. The lamp is the same.

So what are you saying? WHat would be the closer number to correct surefire lumens????
4/14/2010 3:11:15 PM EDT
[#16]
Honestly both are more than bright enough to get the job done.

For me it comes down to reliability and CS, both of which Surefire is known for.  (Not to mention a sizable LE/.mil discount haha)

TLR-3 here on my G17. The 100 lumens is a good medium for HD work, and this thing is super light.

X200B on my G17 in a Raven Light Compatible holster - the X300 was just too bright for use in my home, the X200B is perfect.

Question concerning the Surefire lights: how easy is the light to put on and remove? Do you need tools? I have a G19 and what I would like to be able to do is carry w/o the light and snap it on when I get home for home defense at night. Take it off carry w/o during the day. Feasible?

They are easy to remove, no tools required.

Though honestly I prefer to carry with a light and would recommend you try and hook up with someone that has a good light compatible holster and see just how easy it is.
