My gunshop has a Gen 1 Glock 17 in their used case. It's in good shape. Not great. But good. They have it priced at $460. Is that price ok? I've never seen an old pebble grip Glock for sale before.

I paid 400 for mine at Vance's in Columbus. They had it thrown in with the LEO trade in guns, which were all priced the same. Do they have other used ones that are priced similiar to that one, or do you think they have it priced that way since it's a first gen?

There is a gen 1 G17 in the classifieds here for $375 shipped. $460 sounds a little high but it depends on the area.

I just bought a LEO trade in for $375.00. I put a 3.5 Lb. connector in (got a 4.4 lb. trigger pull) and polished the trigger group, the firing pin safety, the firing pin and cleaned everything. It shot 6.5 inch groups at 20 yrds. When I installed a stainless steal recoil rod the groups were 5.0 inches at 20 yrds.. I order a Wilson Combat barrel and the groups will go down to about 1.5 inches at 20 yrds. after I fit it.

This... As a side note I'd like to add gen 1 Glocks are my favorite. I prefer the grips on the gen 1's.

I'd pay up to $450 for one in VG condition. I have 4 of them now and paid from $350-$420 for them.

Glock had the grip right on the Gen 1 and screwed it up from there, IMO.

OP, I'd say around 400. Eventually it'll probably go for 460, to a "collector", a Glockophile that HAS to have a gen 1. Does seem a bit too high, to me, anyway.

Think I will pass on it then. You just don't see Gen 1 with the tuppaware boxes any more. So, I was curious.
