I think the 17 is at least as accurate as the 92G I used to own, and more accurate than any of the .40 cal Glocks. Uh , your gonna have to explain this to me . I have .40's and 9mm and I don't see any difference in accuracy . now back on topic . I have a G19 that is way more accurate than a 92fs that I had and the 17 has a longer barrel . I have a 9mm conv barrel in my G22 and it's deadly accurate . Hope that helps . |

I've got both. I've never shot them in a ransom rest so I can't comment on mechanical accuracy. Functional accuracy (in my hands), I get the same groups if I do my part. Same here I have both. The G17 is a little better in my hands. Likely cause of the trigger. |

I have .40's and 9mm and I don't see any difference in accuracy . If you're just blasting away at 30 feet caliber won't matter. If you can shoot groups at 25 yards, it seems to. The Glock 35 that I used to own would not group any better than 5-6 inches at 25 yards. I owned a Glock 20 at the same time and had no trouble getting groups under 3 inches at the same distance, so recoil was not the problem. My 17L would do 2 inches with some loads. My new Glock 19 looks like it's going to be another tack driver. The only great accuracy I ever got with .40 in Glocks was with a conversion barrel in my G-20. Granted, my old G-35 was an early 'E' series with the large chamber, and the newer ones may be better. I've shot a 22 and didn't have any better luck. Sigs and XD's shoot .40 real well though. |

Pretty good with the .45 Glock Not so accurate w/ BIL's .40 Glock. |
| yeah i can shot don't get me wrong. i do pretty good with the glock i have and 9mm seems to be a lil more accurate to me. i think it is mainly the recoil that throws off my groups with the 40 for one cause i have big mitts and for two cause the gun is light. i have a 1911 i can make some great groups with, that i think is probably cause the gun is heavy, i like all the rounds that i shoot on a regular basis, but some guns play a role too. and as far as how accurate a gun is playing a role in me buying said gun, i look at it this away if a firearms has shitty accuracy you might as well be carring a 2-3# anchor on your hip. |
