I have a Glock or two but have not looked at new ones in a couple of years. My father in law said he saw one that had a lock on it. I didn't know that Glock was making guns with locks on them now. Is that a special order kind of thing?

one would have to see a Pic of the Glock to see what and where the Lock is. The only thing that I could think of is that this is an Import from Germany since passing much stricter Laws Guns there must now have a build in Lock of some sort to avoid that it could be used unauthorized. Some have Biometric / Finger print Locks and others have it so that you can not place a Magazine into the Gun. But again with out a Pic it is hard to say and I do not think that those would be imported into the US since they are pretty expensive and hardly any one would purchase those.

Absolutely GLOCKs can come with a lock like posted above. I have looked for them at shows and gun stores and have yet to EVER see one. They must be a special order I guess. But they are available.

The "Glock lock" is a special order option that requires factory installation. Sometimes a person orders one and never buys it then the poor dealer has to pimp it for years.

Sam: Would you like your Glock with a lock? Would you like it under a rock? Would you like it in a 9? Would you like it when you dine?

Glock Owner: Fuck no i would not like it with a lock. And why the fuck would I keep it under a rock? Hell yes I would like it in a 9. And hell yea I always wear it when I dine.

Yes, those have been out for quite a while, and as GLOCKREAPER said, are a "special order" item.

I'm glad Glock is intelligent enough to not be making those standard in all models, like alot of other manufacturers do now.

Yeah I had never seen one with a lock and I did not know Glock did that.  I admit I was wrong but wow that just seems like the ILS system in the SA 1911.

The Glock lock is fairly advanced for a gun lock. It uses real lock specific keys instead of a generic Allen wrench type "key" like other similar locks.

Some of them do since gen 3, as you can read on the manual. However I havent seen one yet.

About 6 years ago, when I worked at a gun store, we got a 26 in with the lock. The key was a strange flat little bar with dimples in it. My understanding is now it is basically a special order item. I have never seen another either in person or listed for sale. But they do exist.

Indeed...............a true "lock",a "dimple" lock at that..........the lock actually has bottom pins, driver pins, and springs.

Not like the Springfield ILS, which uses nothing more than a "spanner" type driver, or the Taurus, which is nothing more than an allen screw with post in the middle........pretty sure one of the tamper-torx bits would work, probably a T-15 or T-10.

When I started at Gander Mountain just over 3 years ago, we had a couple.  When I called Glock about them for a customer, they said they were special order, not removable from the gun without destroying the frame and were only a few dollars more to order.

Saw one the other day at a gun shop in Kingsport TN. The price was no higher than the rest were without it.
