glock 17

Buddy of mine sold it to me for $200. How do I tell what generation it is or how old it is? He also through in a box of S&B hp's. What does the hive think, good deal or no?

Looks like 2nd Gen G17.  No finger grooves (3rd gen)

You did awesome, OP.  It's 2nd gen, as stated above.  Looks like it's got an extended slide release and aftermarket sights of some sort.

I WISH I could run into a deal like that.  Very good deal indeed.

Yeah, he said his uncle gave it to him about 4 years ago and he hasn't fired it since. It has an extended slide release and an extended mag release. not sure of the sites though, def not stock.
