Are they not the same width?

The reason I ask is because I just received a G17 Blue Gun that I ordered.  I thought the 17/19/26 were for all intensive purposes the same size(aside from the rail, slide length and handle length), but I made up a quick Kydex holster on the G17, remove the hard attributes and slip in my g26... no go.  My G26 slide is thicker than the G17 Blue Gun's that I received?!  I pulled out the poor man's micrometer, the crescent wrench, close it on the G17 and sure enough it doesn't fit my G26.

Help me out, does the G26 slide really have a thicker width?  I don't have a G17 to compare it to.

Thanks

When you say "blue gun"...

...do you mean a solid plastic "safe gun"

or

...a blue framed Glock that fires simunitions?

If it is solid plastic, my experience with the red solid plastic guns is that the dimensions are slightly bigger than the real Glock, making them fit in kydex holster tighter than the real ones.

Yeah the solid plastic training gun that people use to make holsters.  I just "tested" the frame above the front of the trigger guard and it is a smidge smaller than my G26 there too.

Perhaps it is just the molding processes because we are talking about very small differences.

I think your "blue gun" is undersized, slides are the same width!

Same slide widths. Perhaps that blue gun has been in and out of a lot of holsters and is worn in more than your new G26.

That's what I thought.

Anyone have enough experience with Blue Guns to know if this atypical?  If I was making a leather holster instead of a Kydex one I don't think the issue would matter at all.

I dunno, I did but it off of ebay as "New"(it looks new) and I did stand on the press when molding(perhaps compressing it)... leave it to me to break a plastic gun.
