I have never shot a G27. And My question is, does it recoil less than the 22 or 23? I thought I would ask since they went to the double spring in the 4th gen. pistols. Maybe I have been missing something all these years on not having a G27. I don't recall reading that the double recoil spring system made any diff.

And NO, the .40 recoil does not bother me. My fav. GLOCK is the 23. Just thinking about the recoil spring set up on those pistols.

Other factors come into play when detirmining recoil, such as barrel length, overall mass of the moving parts, stuff like that.

That being said, my G26 doesn't have much more recoil than my 19, but I do feel it kicks just a tad harder....just the same as the 17 kicking less than the 19.  And this is comparing all 3rd gen models.

I agree with marksman. The subs feel different. Not really more recoil, I would describe it as similar recoil but with more muzzle flip. So it really depends on how you perceive recoil...

Cool guys. I was just thinking that since the folks that have gotten the new gen.4 22's are reporting less felt recoil due to the double recoil spring, that perhaps the 27 had this "less" felt recoil as well.

Thanks for the comments.

Maybe I'm very wrong here, but didn't the G27 & G26 already have the double recoil spring that the Gen 4's now have?

imo my 27 recoiled pretty close to my 22.

Yes, they have always had the double recoil spring.
