Hey Guys,
I am trying to convince a good friend that a Glock 27 would make a great carry piece year round not just in the winter.  Those of you who carry A G27 or other baby Glocks please chime in and tell him how much you love them.  He wants a G27 to wear IWB but like I said thinks it would only be good as a winter gun.

I have G27 and carry it all the time. The fit is very nice with the Inside Pant Holster that I use. I think he should get one but than again I am bias to this and all Glocks.

I'm confused. Usually people talk about their winter guns as being bigger than their summer guns since you are wearing more clothing that conceals the larger weapon better. Why would a subcompact be a winter gun only?

I carry a G26 everyday. I like the options it affords me. I IWB carry it outside of word with a +2 mag and a G17 spare. At work I ankle carry it with a flush 10 rounder. It goes everywhere with me.

I carrry a 26 but want to upgrade the size to a 19.

My 26 is is easy to hide on my 509 250 lb frame though

My 26 has practically pushed my 19 into early retirement.  I love that little gun.

It's my opinion that the G26 is the perfect carry gun. I'm wearing it now , in a Milt Sparks VM2 with a G19 back-up mag. I own a G19 too , but the sub-compact gets carried more. I actually shoot the G26 better , I have an AA conversion for it and have shot it many thousands of rounds and now the smaller grip size isn't a negative factor at all. I had owned a G27/G23 combo too , but the 9mm is way more shootable for me in the sub-compact.

I think the "Baby Glocks" are an ideal carry gun year round.

Have your friend watch this video on youtube and the guys other videos.  They are very informative about Glocks.

I personally ccw a G26 in a MTAC holster.  It has been my daily ccw for the past two years and I can not praise it enough.

I carry a G29 year around and have no problems concealing in shorts and a T-shirt in the summer.  G27 would be good to go.

Exactly!  That is what I am trying to tell him.  I am trying to convince him that he will have no problems carrying it year round.

I'm south of you and I carry my G26 year round.  I'm guessing your buddy is only comfortable carrying with a jacket over his weapon, but a untucked shirt works just as good.  The rare times I have to dress up a bit I either go smaller and pocket carry a Ruger LCP, or I go with a SmartCarry (belly band) with the G26.
