What magazines? G26 mags come with the factory +2's and will work with 100% reliability... Glock uses the same magazine spring in both the G19 and G26 so adding a factory #7151 extension and #7165 insert for use with the G26 magazine will not be a problem...
Edited to add: G27 magazines also come with factory +2's and the same information applies, the magazine springs for the G23 and G27 are the same, the G27 will be 100% reliable as well... |

The only Glock mags I've ever seen pop the baseplate off/lose the ammo during firing were ones with the +2 extensions. I've only seen it a couple of times over many years and many, many Glock mags, so take that as you will. The Glock #7151 +2 magazine baseplates can pop off if the proper #7165 magazine insert isn't used... http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=883766 |

Non-factory +2... I'd not be prone to use them personally but replace the magazine springs with Wolff +10% springs if you want to use them on the G19 magazines... http://www.gunsprings.com/index.cfm?page=items&cID=1&mID=5#148 |

Was gonna ask that....................throw them the fuck away. The only +2's, in my experience, that are worth a damn, are Glock factory +2's. (obviously this doesn't include the mag extensions from Arredondo, they're good to go.) I run them on some of my G17 mags....................standard, stock spring.............................no issues, no problems, no popping off when dropped. The "grip extension" would not be better, per se. I don't see that they offer any real advantage, and they (1. make the mag with extension bulky as hell, when carried as a spare, and (2. can pinch the hell out of your hand when reloading quickly. I run G17 mags in a G19 (and G23/9) all the time. Fine as is. |

I added some Scherer +2 bases to my G20 and G21 mags and found that, a) the baseplates are solid and b) that the stock Glock springs weren't up to the task. I started to get feeding issues so I bought some Arredondo Glock +10 springs and now they work really well. An interesting side note. New Glock mags are really stiff and hard to load the final round until they break in. When I would get new Glock springs I'd have much the same issue. I just got use to it. When I added the Arredondo +10 springs I figured that the issue would be even worse until they broke in. I was pleased to discover that loading in 14+1 45acp or 17+1 10mm with the brand new springs was no issue. I checked out the Arredondo springs and they use larger dia. wire that seems to give a solid push but is compressed fully easier. |

Compare the engagement area on the top with a true Glock +2 and you will see that the CDNN extensions have very little plastic around the top where they engage the rails on the bottom of the magazine. Someone can probably post a pic to explain (I can't right now), but the Glock +2's have a squared off profile putting more plastic up there. The CDNN's cut in at an angle and the whole top of the extension is much more flexible. I have heard stories that they pop off and spew ammo all over the deck. After actually seeing one, comparing it to a Glock extension, and playing with them both for a while I can see how that happens. THROW THEM AWAY! I will not even send mine to someone if they pay postage. Mine are going to be thrown in the garbage. ETA that I got mine as freebies when I bought Glock factory mags from CDNN. I would not pay a cent for these. They are a liability. |

I have the Pearce and Schare +2 and never have a problem allong with the Glock +2. If they are installed properly they can not pop off. Factory Glock springs in the +2's are the same length as the non +2's. They all seem to work great. I too have the Pierce +2 extensions on my G26 mags with factory springs and I've never had a problem with 500-600rds through the gun so far. |
