Jsut wanted to say "hey". took a Glock armorer's school yesterday (12-10-2009) and passed no problem. I went so I could work on them for my department but the instructor... Joel Hodges from "Glock Professional" sold me on the quality, reliability and pretty much everything else about hte guns. Was never a big fan of Glock but im sold..... will be buying my own (only have my department issue at the moment) soon as i can get enough overtime shifts to pick one up

| The thing that really got me was how the instructor put it, (paraphrased) “when the 1911 came out it revolutionized handguns, everybody copied the design and Glock is was the same way” S&W copied to the point of patent infringement (with the sigma) M&P is based off the same principal, Taurus has polymer framed pistols with extremely similar takedown systems (although I haven’t looked at internals” Ruger is switching to polymer frames. Just the quality and durability amaze me. The instructor said they have a Glock at the factory that anyone is allowed to shoot as long as the ammo is logged and it has around 250,000 rnds through it, never been cleaned. They are made with a loose fit like the original 1911’s so they will work guaranteed. Just the quality of the finish….. 99% corrosion resistant! And match battles, it amazes me the pride, and quality put into the product as well as how much they stand behind them. |
| yes my duty gun is a G22 40cal. im thinking eithe a G17, or G19 but as of yet i havnt decided which. i considered a G23 but my wife is not a big fan of the Glock pistos either and she is definitely NOT a fan of the .40 in a glock. also seeing as its hard to get her out shooting the more fun/plesant is it for her the more im hoping i can get her to do it..... also considered the practical/tactical in 9mm..... but i was worried about concealability and liability (he was carrying a tactical pistol) you know. |
