What do you think should I get another 17 with N/S or a 22 with out N/S?
I have a 17 & 19 with N/S. I dont have a 22.
I have plenty of ammo for the 17&19 but i dont have any ammo for the 40.
I just dont know if I want to start stocking up on 40 cal.

Yes my son, the G26 is what you seek.

If you reload, you'll have no problem stocking up.  If not, and you've already got a good supply of 9mm, might as well get another 17.  That's what I'd do.

Glock 17.  I had a 23 once and hated it.  Have a 17 and a 26 now and like them much better.

Get the 17 then. I hate .40 S/W. The recoil just doesn't feel right.  For me 9mm or 45acp.

That is total BS.  My G22 has 27,000 rds through it and it's in perfect shape.

If you don't want to add another caliber:  G26

If you want to add a caliber.....this is important:   G21SF

Why?  Well, its a 45 and it has less felt recoil than a G22.

G22, I got one the day I returned from the sandbox and I haven't looked back. I love it! Yes it doesn't have the capacity of the 9mm but if you can't kill it or get away from it in under 15+1, you're probably doing something wrong.

Batters the targets too.

G22
My first was a G22. Loved it. Also had a G17. Nice. Nice duty guns. Harder to conceal.

Then came CCW to my state. Made a friend a great deal on it, and got a G23. Love it. The best of all worlds. Have talked several people into it and they love theirs as well. Who cares about 2 rds difference with more stopping power. Never had any problems. Many, if not most police are issued G22s for a good reason.

Well, ya gotta be old enough to remember the Miami shootout, the FBI, the JUMP into the 10mm, the "oh no, our females can't handle the recoil", the downloading of the 10mm, and then the birth of the .40 S&W (an overnight success).

Then, get yourself that Lone Wolf 40/9 conversion bbl, like I did for my G23 ( for suppressor use, ) if you want it to be a G17. There, you got two guns in one. You already have G17 mags. But wait! (maybe for months...) there's more. Get the AA .22 conversion kit, and you have 3 guns in one! They sell out fast so there might be a little wait to get one. The BIG gunshow in Tulsa only had one AA kit and it was for a G30. Cheaper shooting than a nine. But the kits are going for $275-300. Don't get me wrong, I love the 9mm and have many. The only real downside to the G 40's is that the chamber isn't quite fully supported. If you shoot really hot loads, it may cause some case bulge which would trash the brass. My 23 has handled 135 nosler loads close to 1250 fps, though it isn't something you want to constantly do. If I'm not mistaken, SOF magazine (people who know their business) gave the G23 extremely high marks when it came out.

If you have a stockpile of 9mm I would stick with the 17. No use getting another caliber. Just my 2 cents though.....

If you hit vitals with a 9mm, the enemy is in trouble.  If you miss vitals with a .40, YOU are still in trouble.

I don't know why people feel undergunned with a 9mm.

Get the 17 and then buy lots of mags.  When the time for economic pay-backs comes, you'll be glad you did.

That not 100% true.  Yes .40 S&W is a high pressure load that does put more wear on a firearm when compared with the same firearm chambered in say .45 ACP or 9mm, but a well made firearm like a Glock, Sig, or FNH should be able to last longer then you do.

Stick with one caliber believe me when I tell you: "you will save money". I have 9mm, 40 S/W, 45 ACP, 357 magnum, 5.56 / 223 and 7.62 x39 and out of all of them I do more shooting with 9mm

The OP said he that the seller has 2 to choose from at his price point, a 17 and a 22, so let's drop the other model suggestions.  I mean yeah, I would suggest a 34 or a 26 to add to his collection, but he has already said he has 2 specific guns to choose from.

I would say get the 17, then you keep the same ammo and mags, although personnally, I would be tempted to get the 22, and then get the Lone Wolf conversion barrel.  I am not a fan of .40 S&W, but have been thinking about getting one lately, mainly just to have one, and get my friends off of my back.  I have 9mm and 45 ACP, so I don't get the .40, but to each his own.  But with the Lone Wolf conversion, you can have the .40, but convert it to 9mm, plus shoot lead bullets if you want.
