considering turning one of my g21s into a longslide. Would like others input on which aftermarket products they used, would they do it again, etc. etc.

I have the steel German slide on my G20/21L and would do it again in a heartbeat. I've heard that LW's longslide is very good and am considering using one of their G24 slides w/o the cutout to convert my G22.

so if i bought lw longslide and barrel, do i need a different recoil spring too?

Go to LoneWolf's website and look under slides/ conversion slides/ then the model you want and it will have a parts list of what you need

Nope, it uses the std Glock recoil spring/guide. In addition, if you want to use an aftermarket ss rod and spring, all you need to do is buy one for a large frame Glock (G20 or G21).
