I am interested in purchasing a Glock 19 for both concealed carry and every-day range shooting. I am on a tight budget, so something that will fill both roles will be my only option. The G19 seems to be a good choice. I am 5'9", about 150-160 pounds (thin), with about a 32" waist size. Do you guys think this will work out good for me, as far as concealment? I will be wearing it at work, and pretty much all other non-alcoholic or school adventures I go on.

With proper holster and clothing selection you will be fine.

I carry one every day. The holster makes the difference.

I'm 5'10", 145lbs with a 30" waist and I carry a G19 every day in a Comp-tac CTAC and a Comp-tac single mag pouch. Very concealable and comfortable. The G19 is the perfect balance for me in a defensive handgun. It loses that extra .5" off the grip of the G17 that seems to stick out my back when I carry it, but it affords you a full three finger grip on the gun (without messing with a mag extension) unlike the G26. Don't get me wrong, I love the G17 and the G26––they certainly have their place. But if I could only own one gun, it'd be the G19.

I'm not a big guy by any means and have had no problem concealing a G19, although now when I carry a Glock it is a G23...same size bigger bullet.

That is EXACTLY why I am looking at a G19 vs. a G17 or G26. I would like a 9mm, just because along with .45 auto, its pretty much the most common autoloader caliber in the world, IMO. .40's, 10mm, and .357sig are cool, but haven't been around long enough for me to feel comfortable in purchasing one (concerns regarding the caliber being suddenly outdated by the next best "wonder" caliber...9mm and .45auto will probabily never be outdated until they come up with lazer-guns or something).

Well, you're looking at the right gun, IMO. A lot of members of this site think those of us that continually recommend the G19 are just koolaid drinking fanboys. But, I have yet to find another handgun other than the G19 that is the perfect proportion for both serious duty use and concealability. Given its capacity, durability, end-user serviceability and overall size efficiency, I will go on record as saying that the G19 is the best handgun made.

<<<––––-koolaid!

You can conceal a 19 without too much effort.  It is by no means the easiest pistol to conceal, but it isn't terrible.

My sentiments and experience exactly.  Use it with a good holster and belt and you're all set.  My G19 would be the last pistol I'd part with.

Yes, it's extremely concealable with the right holster and belt.

Same here except I'm 5'7"

My 1st gun was a G26.  Sold it and eventually got another one later on.  Good gun, but I traded my 2nd one for a Glock 19.  To be honest I'll probably never buy another 26.  For me the 19 does everything the 26 did for me, but has 50% more capacity, is more shootable and accurate.  Plus the 19 fits my medium sized hands better than any other gun.  It's as if it was molded for my hand.

I am 6-00, 180lbs.  Using a good belt (wilderness tactical) and a good holster (Comp-Tac Infidel) the 19 is my ideal carry gun and for me, like many here, is what I consider to be my "If I could only have one" gun.
