Does anyone else have a gap between their locking block and their frame?  This is actually better than it was before I doctored it a bit.

What did you "doctor"?  Is it like that when the Trigger Pin and Locking Block Pin are in place?

It doesn't look like you have the LB fully seated?

The locking block is fully seated and it looks like that with the pins in.  I removed a little metal from the front of the locking block to see if that would remedy things and it did to a point, but there is still a bit of a gap.  It doesn't seem to affect function, though.  I just haven't noticed it on any of my Glocks in the past and I'm wondering if it's commonplace.

Well I'll admit, it's a bit strange, but if the pistol functions well I wouldn't worry too much about it.  Keep track of rnds fired through the pistol (as you should anyway) and watch for signs of undue wear, specifically the polymer of the frame forward of the Locking Block, and those top edgese of the Locking Block itself.

I doubt it's going to give you any problems though.  How many rounds through the gun so far?

The gun is unfired and I'm going to replace the locking block with a new one just for good measure.  I'm sure it won't cause any more issues than the upturned dustcover.

Ah yes, the dreaded "pig nose".  There was a time, on GlockTalk, where there were 3 or 4 new "pig nose" threads a day.  It was retarded, I tell ya.

It would be interesting to see if a new Locking Block sat the same way in the frame as that one.............if so, it might indicate a very minor imperfection in the frame itself, where the Locking Block sits.

Still, I doubt it would cause any issues.  I would go put a couple hundred rounds through it and then look for signs of undue wear.

Obviously if there are issues, you can call Glock and ask for advice, they're pretty good about making things right witn individual customers.

Actually, I could just stop by since I only live 4.6 miles away.
