I know Glocks are great utilitarian pieces, but should I ever consider getting one as something that will appreciate in value?

EDIT: I'm not looking to make money, I just don't like things like electronics that are worth half of the purchase price as soon as you take it out the door.

guns in general are a poor choice for investing money to make money, they can appreciate in value over time but the return is minimal and probably lower than inflation is.

The only way a Glock will ever become a valuable collectable, will be due to future legislation!

I prefer depreciation.

Mass production don't equal future dollars.  At least none you or your Great Grandchildren will see.   The value will come in the fact that they may not be able to purchase/own weapons in their time.

As said, not unless they are legislated valuable.
