Ok so I want to lighten the trigger pull in my G30. I'm thinking about getting the Lone Wolf 3.5 connector. I hear a lot of people talking about swapping out the trigger spring as well and I was wondering if the Lone Wolf 6lb spring is a good choice. I also plan on doing the .25 trigger job as well. Any insight is appreciated.

Well, it will make the trigger pull quite a bit lighter.

You gonna be carrying this thing?

Yea this is my CC pistol. I've debated keeping the stock trigger in there but the trigger in the G30 feels way heavier than in my G22. I'll probably skip the trigger spring and do the connector and trigger job. I know a lot of guys advise against changing the trigger on a carry gun but I don't see a problem with it.

Cool, but I do advise against lightening a trigger pull to much, on a sidearm with no external safety, that's going to be carried for defensive purposes.

To each his own, though.  I do have two good friends who carry Glocks as do I, but they use factory 3.5 Connectors in theirs.  They're both knowledgeable level-headed individuals, it's just a matter of personal preferrence, I suppose.  NY1 Trigger Spring / 5.5 Connector here, for me.

The 3.5 isn't bad.  Always felt too light to me.  Not bad, though.  I would suggest doing, as you are, staying with the stock Trigger Spring.  The heavier, aftermarket spring combined with the 3.5 will be an extremely light pull.

Again, that's personal preferrence.  There hasn't yet truly been a case where a civilian has been nailed to the wall solely for having a lighter-than-stock trigger system in place.  Hopefully there won't ever be.

Is your G30 newer than your G22?  Does the G22 have alot more rounds through it?  If so, this could account for the "feel" of the trigger pull being heavier, even when they're both set up the same, parts-wise.  In my experience, Glock triggers "smooth up" quite a bit after about 1,000 rnds downrange.

If by trigger job, you mean the whole "25 cent" thing, polishing of all bearing surfaces, heck yeah, that will do what shooting the 1.000 rnds will do, and alot quicker.

Thanks for the input man. Yea I figured the heavier spring is overkill for a CC pistol. The G22 and G30 were both bought in the last year and the G22 does have more rounds through it. I figure if I feel like the 3.5 connector is too light than the maybe $20 at most I spent on it is worth it. It's cheap enough to get rid of if I don't like it.

I keep hearing about this ".25 trigger job", but I've seen no info on what is done to accomplish it. I'm sure it entails simply smoothing and polishing , but can someone please point me to a resource describing the process?
