| ive been pondering the purchase of a glock 23 and a glock 27 to go with my other glocks but have a question. does anyone use the speer gold dot 180 grain short barrell ammo in their g23? if so how does it perform? its either this ammo or hornady tap in 155 grain. |

I didn't even know they had a 180 grn GD specifically intended for short barrels. Not really an issue though, with the G23's 4 inch barrel.
That stuff should run just fine, and be plenty accurate. I have run a fari amount of 180 grn GD through my G23, plenty accurate, never a problem. Good stuff. I settled on the 155grn GD as a preferred load, just to minimize overpenetration. But 180 kicks ass too. |
