I got one from LWD back around Christmas.  From "submit" to my door it took less than a week.

Not sure how remote your location is, but call around to funstores in the area.  Glock parts are usually common and easy to find.  One of my own local funstores has stuff like that in stock on a regluar basis.

Doesn't the G27 have the dual-spring rod?  And it's made out of metal?

The LWD is a piece of crap the plastic one is 10 times more reliable.  I have a SS one and it does not feed right or work well at all.  The spring hangs up all the time on the fat end of the rod.  Get a stock one trust me on this it functions flawless and is a lot cheaper to replace if it fails.  What did you do to make it fail??? If you do not mind me asking.  My G27 goes with me every night on a 25K run and I shoot the hell out of it and never had a problem with it.

Get an uncaptured recoil kit (rods and springs) from Wolff. It's mechanically simpler than the captured type, easy to install and change spring strength if you like.

RECOIL GUIDE ROD SET & RECOIL SPRING COMBINATION
Guide rod set and recoil spring combinations offer a recoil spring and Wolff guide rod system together at a savings over individual prices. Wolff guide rods are non-captive for easy spring changes.
Stock No. 508xx - for Models 26, 27 and 33...........$ 34.95 ea

Everyone should get a C&R FFL IMO.  It is $13.79 from Midway + < $2 shipping USPS Priority Mail and I know I will get it unlike from BoTach.

I have one extra and will probably get a couple more just in case.
