When if ever do you think Glock is going to get with the program and put out a carbine version Glock? Something like the Beretta Storm. 43E1P |
| Glock has actually had a carbine developed for some time now...several years, in fact. IIRC it was not exactly what they had hoped it would be, plus they were selling pistole so fast they did not want to tool up for the carbine given not so great interest by the LEO community around the world. For pistol caliber use, only the US has any sizeable market for these weapons...everybody else who is allowed to have something like this at all, will usually opt for the MP5 or similar. |

I took the Armorers course last month. We were talking about what was coming next for Glock. Both the instructor and our regional Glock rep. stated that rumors from within Glock itself is that the Glock Carbine may be the next thing to hit the market. They cited the success of the the Berretta Storm and the increased demand for pistol caliber carbines. This is the first time I have actually heard someone from Glock speak of the carbine as a real item, not just something on a wish list. Dave |
