I just got the newest generation of Glock. I bought a Glock 17 to start shooting IDPA with. Shot first match on Monday. Basically the changes that I'm aware of is an aggresive grip. The grip has almost a sandpaper texter to it so gun doesn't slip while shooting, wet hands or whatever. Also the slide has more aggresive grooves near the rear sight to help with racking the slide. During the match I thought the new grip style was awesome, it made a huge difference in my grip and how solid it was on the gun. Two thumbs up for new grip. Check em out.

Nice, I've been looking for one in my area with no luck so far.  It will be my next Glock.

I just use Grip tape on my Glock 17.. It feels the same.. I am not sure if I will be picking up the Glock 17 with the new grip.. I am pretty sure its not a new gen tho, its just the RTS or somthing..

I really like the RTF frames a lot. I don't think the slide serrations are quite as grippy as the original. I would like to hear more feedback on this from RTF owners.

Also - Glock says the RTF frames will probably be available for individual / upgrade purchase sometime in the future (that be years in Glock time).

Fixed it for ya.

I am going to pick up a 35 so I can put the frame from my 22RTF on it.  I prefer the longer slide, but wanted the RTF frame... The slide serrations just look plain goofy, but it does work.

I've owned Glocks since they were introduced to the US sometime I think in the 80s'. One thing that has bothered me with the Glock ( I've owned almost all the models at one time or another) is that from time to time I pick up the gun and hold it a little different in my hand than I did the previous time. Sometimes I'd hold it different just to get a comfortable grip, sometimes I'd get a Hogue grip then take it off and just learn to deal with it.For a period of time I swore off all Glocks they just didn't seem to "fit" me. no matter how much I tried. Then I picked up a RTF Glock 17, OMG for me what a difference.Pick it up "cold" , fits perfect ! Again. Again and Again perfect every time. It's a natural fit sending the gun into the palmswell (?)for a tight perfect grip. You have to try it to believe it ,what an improvement !

Congrats on the RTF 17. I may have to jump on a G19RTF when they come out.

FYI.
There is currently no 4th gen Glock.
The RTF2 is a frame option for the 3rd gen Glock frame. Same as the SF, MB, and OD are frame options for 3rd gen Glocks.
