Few weeks ago I bought from e bay a clone of a streamlight m6.

Looks just like the real one except for the mounting pin. The clone walks off the G21 after 4 shots. Laser still holds zero but because of the small pin and my frame flexing it comes off. I was going to buy the m6 but since this clone has failed me I bought the tlr-2 led model. It looks like it screws on? Since its metal im hoping its stronger, and at 4 times the price im sure it will work.

Im concerned with the function of the tlr-2. How is the switch setup. Is it a finger lever, does it do the laser and light with same switch? Is there a dial like on the m6 for different settings. From most of the online pics its hard to see what the button does but there looks like to be a small button near the laser area, is that a laser button? Is it momentary or constant on?
Doers anyone use this tlr-2 on a g21 and if so will it hold on?
Can anyone post pics of the switching device and also different angles on a glock.

Here is one pic I found showing the thing by the laser area, is this the laser switch?

Looks like the e bay one has a 30 day no hassle return policy so im seeing if I can return it to save some money.

Looks like you learned the hard way to not buy cheap airsoft garbage on ebay.

Well I had handled one at a gun show before, seemed well made, didnt know it was a copy of a streamlight because I never saw that type before, but if I can return it then only a few dollars lost for shipping. At least I liked it enough to get the real deal. Years ago I bought another type of quick detatch light for my SW99 but it would fit because the rail is to short, even this one doesnt fit so I had given up on a light until I got the glock and saw how other lights fit it better. I would rather loose $50 to find out a light wouldnt fit, then $250. But I would hate to loose $50 to a light that works but falls off.

Thanks for the info.

so whats the difference with the m6 and tlr 2 except for the metal body? Just the selector dial.

Go look at the respective manufacturers websites and they'll list the specifications for their products.

The TLR-2 is my favorite tactical light (no i am not advertising for streamlight!). The quality is amazing as it has an aluminum housing and is a super bright LED. The light has three functions which are controlled by the bottom toggle switch: only laser, only light and light and laser. Once you have selected the setting you wish to use there are two side switches that allow you to either activate a momentary on or constant on all which are easy to control with your support side thumb. Another great feature about the TLR-2 is that you can mount the weapon from the bottom and never have to place you hand in front of the barrel.

I say get the TLR-2 !

get the tlr2.  i have one on my g21 that is used for duty and SWAT.  I've shot thousands of rounds and never had a single issue with it.  it mounts rock solid and takes a beating.  buy with confidence
