| Well after owning several Sigs I decided to purchase a compact carry and picked up a G19. Fell in love with this gun and decided to purchase a G17 but noticed on the G19 it had made in Austria, glock inc, smyrna,GA.on the right side of grip. My G17 only has glock inc. smyrna GA., no made in Austria. I have seen pictures of some G17 that had made in Austria and some without. Should I be concerned or is this normal. |
| Thanks guys. A friend bought a glock in 93' and I never could get over the plastic feel or the whole "safe action" deal. Reliablilty of a Glock was never an issue, so read more about them and decided to get a G19. Then 2 weeks later I bought a G17 and now im looking at a G23. Never really thought I would come to like these pistols so much! |

I would avoid all of the 40 S&W and 357 SIG Glocks. You sacrifice magazine capacity and (IMHO, in 40) accuracy over the 9mm Glocks, and gain increased recoil with minimal change in terminal ballistics (given the use of available high-quality LE-grade JHP's). If you really want to up-gun, go for a 45 or a 10mm. Then, the increase in recoil and/or reduction in capacity comes with a measurable increase in other attributes. |
