| A coworker's son is an Army Ranger on active duty. He has asked his father to buy his Christmas gift ASAP (before the item is no longer available - ala Obama). The gift in question is a Glock 19 with NY trigger. Question is, where best to buy, and at what price? I am unaware of the exact options desired besides those mentioned. |

The Glock 19 should be $600 right now. $100 too high due to the high demand. Best to get it new in box at a reputable local gun store. It comes with an extra mag and a decent case.
The NY-1 trigger spring (new york) is available aftermarket and is easy to install. It makes the trigger stiffer. Its available online at: http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=541 |

Find a Glock 'stocking dealer' in your area. I see you're in Ohio. I'm sure somebody will be around shortly to point you to a good dealer. A 'stock' glock should cost you no more than $500 brand new. As for the NY trigger, that's just a $3.00 part that increases the trigger pull weight to 11 lbs (heavy compared to the standard 5.5 lbs). My local Glock dealer changes these parts out for free on a new firearms purchase (plus the cost of the part).
ETA: $600 is false. If you were shopping in South Florida, I could point you to at least on local dealer who always has them in stock for $498, and I see them at the gun show for this price all the time, even in today's high demand market. There are plenty of them out there. |

I throw in a Free Glock of your choice with purchase of either. |

Have the soldier contact Glock. He can order what ever he wants DIRECTLY from them with his Military ID and have it shipped to the nearest FFL. He should be getting the G19 for $398.20....it will come with 3 Hi-cap mags.
I just bought one for this price being military. He may have to pay tax/shipping/transfer fee but it will still be a lot less than buying from gunshop that is charging $600!! WW |

WW I'm AD Air Force and I just bought one for $398+tax with 3 mags and standard sights. Since he's the military member, have your co-worker give him the money to purchase it or have his son order it through Glock. The only problem with ordering through Glock is that you may have to wait 12 weeks for it. If you send me a PM with your email, I can send you the military pricing form. |

Thanks to everyone who helped with my question. My coworker has his order in with a LE dealer that was 5 minutes from our office. Great price and he ordered exactly what he was looking for.
The word was that Glock is 200,000 guns behind and the wait may be a while. Thanks again. |
