| When the magazine is loaded with ten rounds, slide has to be locked back in order for magazine to lock in. Otherwise it feels like it does not fit when I try to just slide it in. It will not lock in at all. Any insight on this? |

Shove it in. It's not gonna break. Seriously.
This is typical of new Glock mags. After they've been left loaded a while, and you shoot through them some, they'll become easier to seat. It's not indicative of any kind of problem with your gun or mags. Nothing to worry about. Shove it in. |
| I have the same concern with my G30 (not SF).I load 9 rounds in the mag, chamber a round, drop mag and add another round.I do not like the feel of the slide operation with ten rounds in the magazine.I also believe, but cannot prove, that the strain against the ejector with ten rounds in a mag is what broke my ejector when mine was new.As others have said,if you load the new mags and let them sit, they will loosen up a bit,but that tenth round is still a pain.My method still gives me 10 rounds of 230 grain goodness, and if that's not enough,I'm screwed anyway. |

I leave my mag fully loaded 10 in the 10 round mag and 9 in the 9 round mag and leave it fully seated, after a while it started to loosen up.
The 9rd mag was the worst, but I can load the last round into the mag by hand and I just press the mag in to get it to seat. |
| Just to be clear, my problem is not getting the 10th round in the mag. The problem is inserting the mag into the gun when the slide is not locked back. If the slide is not locked back and I try to insert the mag, there is a good 3/4 of an inch left until the mag is locked in place. The resistance is pretty good and I have pressed a decent amount on it. I guess I am worried I may bend something internally and am not sure what I am hitting into. |

Your Glock is new and the mag springs are really tight so that there is no possibility of loading 11 rounds in them. Over time, the mag spring will relax a bit and you'll find it easier to insert. In addition, I insert my mag into my Glock and give it a firm slap with my palm to ensure that its seated correctly. After a while, you'll get use to the slap needed to seat the mag but don't worry, its fine. |

You don't even really need to slap it, just push from both ends of the gun with your palms till you feel a click, after a while it will get easier as the mags/springs break in.
For my G21 and my G30 I found it works best if I load the mag full, then take the mag loader with mag base on a table and then push with the mag loader and work the mag, I usually feel a click or a pop and after that my mags usually start working better, almost like a piece of plastic or something needs to be worked off... Every one of my 20+ G21 mags have needed this as did my few G30 mags. Good luck |
