This might be a stupid ?, but I am a first time glock owner and need to know before I order magazines.  I have a 30sf and need to know should I be looking for 30sf mags or will regular 30mags work. Thanks in advance.

Not a dumb question, I recently asked it as I'm the proud new daddy of a 30sf myself.

As far as the magazines are concerned, the guns are one and the same.  30 mags work in either gun.

Enjoy the new baby!

Not o jack the thread, Mine came with the +1 Glock Baseplate, I want to get some more, maybe with, maybe standard 30 mags without and add a pierce grip extension.
Does the +1 add any spring issues since it is actually a 9 round mag?

if you want a 10 round mag why not just buy the standard 10 round mag instead of getting the 9 round mag with an extended baseplate?

I thought they were all 9 round mags and you can get them factory with the Glock +1 baseplates like the ones that came with my 30sf?

It depends if your 30 has the ambi mag release or not.

Glock factory mags come in 9 or 10 round for the 30.  The G30SF does not come with an option for an ambi mag release.  So any mag for a 30 will work whether it is for a G30 or G30SF.

Take a look at the magazines from the rear where you can see the holes that show the number of rounds loaded. One is marked for 9 holes having one hole only on the lowest position. The other is marked for 10 holes with a left and right position on the lowest row. The baseplate on the 10rnd mag goes up higher on the sides to fit flush agaist the grip but if you take it off you'll see it doesn't extend below the bottom of the magazine.
