I remembered a couple months ago a member on here had a contest for a lady to win a slide cover plate that had a butterfly engraved in it that came from rockyourglock.com. I have contacted the site and they no longer make customer slide cover plates. Does anyone know where I can get this done? |

I'm about 20mi south of Weatherford,OK which is about an hour or so SW of OKC, or straight north of Lawton 60mi.
Whereabouts is Whitesboro? If I had a ropin' pen at my house.........................I'd be more worthless than I already am......................but a much better roper!!!

teamroper in Texas, straight south of Madill across the lake. We have a lot of people come rope so I didn't know if maybe you were close or have been through. For the record, I don't really rope much anymore... too busy and too many other priorities. |

Yeah, that was me that ran that contest. Dan from RockYourGlock accidentally sent me 2 of them and my wife only has one Glock, so I thought it would be nice to give away to a lady glock shooter. That's too bad he's not making them anymore b/c they came out really nice. And it wasn't a custom design. I picked it right out of his catalog. What design did you have in mind?

for those of you with the custom covers, do you find it distracting when you are shooting as in does it draw your eyes to it instead of the sights?
I've always thought about getting one but the idea of something shiny would draw my eyes to it. I wouldn't mind one in black with an engraving, does anyone have one of those? |

I've only shot with it once with no problems, my wife a couple of times and she likes it too. The important thing is that the design be as symmetrical/centered as possible. For example, if you look at the butterfly, the 2 antenna form a 'Y' shape directly underneath the center of the sight. It is not distracting though in any way. |

I thought it might be after I installed it, because that's all I looked at, but after some shooting it wasn't a distraction for me. teamroper |

Was the person you dealt with at RockYourGlock named Dan? Reason I ask is b/c that is who I dealt with and Lone Wolf Dist sells the custom slide plate covers through him as well. This is from the Lone Wolf Dist website:
