| I bought a Lone wolf ported barrel for my Glock 17. When I use it, I am not getting the slide to action properly. I know I need a lighter spring, but how light? I don’t even know the lbs on the stock spring. Thanks for any help you provide! |

You don't need a "lighter spring". Stay with the stock spring.
LWD barrels have notoriously tight chambers. This could be part of the problem. Try to put 100-200 rnds through it, they sometimes have to be "broken in". If this doesn't help, I believe LWD will open up the chamber on it for free. Obviously, make sure the thing's IN BATTERY to fire it! |

You need to make sure that's the problem first.
If you are using practice ammo (which is usually underpowered), try some hot defensive ammo like Cor Bon or Black Hills or anything +p. If they cycle your pistol well, then a lighter recoil spring will help. If hot ammo doesnt work, you may have a barrel that needs to be fitted. The stock spring is 17 pounds, try a 15 pound spring and look for better(hotter) ammo. If you are having failures to feed ammo, then it might be a tight chamber. You really need to describe your problem more clearly. |
