I'm looking to pick up a Glock 30.   Anyone own one?  Like it?  What can I expect to pay, new?

I've never owned a Glock.  I've always been a Sig guy.

Have one, love it. The G30 has an excellent record for accuracy, reliability, etc.

New, you're looking at $525 depending on where you live.

I picked one up but havent got a chance to put it through its paces. I got it so I can switch it up with my 19 for carry. It feels great in the hand( at least for me). If your not opposed to buying used, keep your eyes open. I picked up mine in almost brand new condition for $466 out the door ( also wanted it to go with the 21 I got 2 months earlier for $429 out the door).

I have had my G30 for 11+ years, and it is a great gun.  My only beef is that it kicks the shells straight back at my forehead, but it has one of the original ejectors, and I need to replace it.  You can't go wrong with one!!!

The 30sf is my next (5th overall) Glock buy.  They're great guns.  Stay away from the 36.

This was the first Glock I bought but I love it.  Mine is the 30SF and it shoots well I got it for $585.00 out the door tax and all(sales tax is 9 cents on the dollar here). I have been wanting a .45ACP for awhile but could make up my mind what I wanted I tried several at the Gun Store I do business with and this felt just right in my smaller hands and it seems to conceal very well. I know i now have my fulltime carry weapon and it is just a great handgun with lotsa stopping power. I don't think you could ever go wrong buying one of them. I am now finished with my blurbing on my favorite weapon!!!! LOL
I am having Night Sights put on it as I write this it should be back home soon!!

The only "issue" I had (and I mean only) was that I couldn't do tac reloads with a full mag.  Seating the fresh mag on a closed slide was almost impossible.

Glock 30 is my primary summer carry pistol.  It is great.

I'm glad you're happy with your recent purchase but could you explain how to measure stopping power? Is there a mathematical equation or a chart somewhere?

I've had probably a dozen or more GLOCKS over the years.  I won a G30 several years ago in a GSSF match and I have to say that it is my favorite GLOCK if I had to pick just one.  Exceptionally accurate.  It is my usual daily CCW carry in the winter.

I picked up a G30SF in a trade last night.  At first glance, its fatter than my G19 and  G36.  The grip feels good in my small hands, but not as good as my G36.  I'll be taking it to the range today to try it out.

I was a Sig only guy, now I carry a G30. And have a G19 on the way. Little different then the Sig but not bad just different. I think the 30 is a winner hands down. Very accurate, reliable, and a pleasure to shoot.

The wife dropped the P239 for a G26.

I bought a used G30 as an impulse buy. $410 with three mags. For the price, I thought, what the heck I'll try it out.

Holy crap. Very Very accurate and easy to shoot. Feels a little fat in the hand, but I think the extra width helps me get a better grip on it. The funny thing is I can't shoot a 21...it's just too fat, but the abbreviated grip on the 30 seems to help. I actually enjoy shooting it more than my 21SF!

Just bought a used one, it's better than I expected.

Mine is the old style without rail and I paid under four bills.

I've always been a Sig fan too, but this G-30 is a winner.
